The French Lick area offers several different types of campgrounds, ranging from tepee retreats to horse-friendly accommodations. French Lick is home to several attractions and close to many others in southern Indiana. Sleeping Bear Retreat is a different type of camping. This retreat offers tepee camping on a 50-acre woodland. Each tepee is equipped with cots, and the retreat offers indoor restrooms with hot-water showers. For visitors wanting a softer bed, air mattresses are available.

Lane's Motel allows 20 camping sites, although they do not take reservations for camping. Visitors who camp are also welcome to enjoy the motel's pool. The campground does have its own shower house, and also a fish-cleaning station for visiting fishermen.

The Mane Trails caters to horse-owners but also allows visitors without horses. Campsites range from primitive to those with electricity and water. Some primitive sites include hitching posts, and stalls are available at some of the electric/water sites. Mane Trails offers several hiking, biking and horse trails and a close distance to multiuse trails within the Hoosier National Forest. Visitors enjoy an indoor-riding arena and a clean restroom and shower area.

Crazy Horse offers camping that will accommodate RVs and any-size horse trailers.
