The Specifications for a Dodge Challenger SRT600

    • The Dodge Challenger SRT600 is a bespoke performance car made by Hennessey Performance, a U.S.-based automotive tuner. The SRT600's key feature is its large ball bearing turbocharger, which adds significant horsepower to the Challenger SRT8 model on which it is based. The SRT600 retailed for $97,690 in 2009 and is equipped with over 600 horsepower.

    Engine and Drivetrain Specs

    • Hennessey Performance has added upgrades to the base SRT8 engine, a 6.1-liter V-8 generating 425 horsepower and 420 foot-pound of torque. After the SRT600 upgrade has been applied, the car generates 620 horsepower and 650 foot-pound torque. This translates to 102 horsepower per liter. The cast iron block engine features aluminum cylinder heads and is boosted to its new power levels by the installation of a 67-millimeter ball bearing turbocharger. The compression ratio has also been lowered by Hennessey to 9.1-to-1 from the 10.3-to-1 ratio of the stock motor.The SRT600 is available with either a five-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox.

    SRT600 Upgrade Features

    • In addition to the turbo upgrade and compression ratio change, the SRT600 includes an additional set of parts that contribute to the car's power. This includes handmade, stainless steel exhaust headers, a 44-millimeter turbo waste-gate, a stainless steel 3-inch exhaust, a 3.5-inch turbo inlet tube with blow-off valve, an upgraded fuel pump and aluminum fuel rails. The car also receives some visual tweaks from Hennessey that include "HPE600" exterior badges, embroidered floor mats and head rests, and a serial-numbered plaque on the dashboard.

    Size and Weight

    • The SRT600 has a curb weight of 4170 pounds, utilizing a steel monocoque frame. Its overall length measures in at 197.8 inches with a wheelbase of 116 inches. The car has an overall height of 56 inches and a width of 75.7 inches.
