How to Reprogram Your Cable TV Remote
- 1). Turn on your TV by pressing the power button on your console.
- 2). Find the code listed for your brand of TV. Here are some of the top TVs available. Curtis Mathis: 0047, 0054, 0014, 0451, 0093, 0060, 0030, 0145, 0056, 0016, 0166; GE: 0047, 0051, 0451; Daewoo: 0451, 0092; JVC: 0463, 0053; Universal: 0027; Zenith: 0017, 0463, 0178, 0016, 0092.
- 3). Press and release the TV key on your remote.
- 4). Press and hold in the setup key, once the TV key flashes twice, you can release it.
- 5). Using the number pad on your remote key in the four digit code that you found next to your TV brand. The TV key will then flash twice if the code was entered correctly.
- 6). Point the TV remote at your TV and press the power key. If the power goes off, you have entered the correct code; if the power does not go off, then repeat steps 3 through 6 using the next code listed next to your brand.
