Automatic VS Manual Cars

There are a broad variety of options in vehicles, and both options seem to have their pros and cons. It is assumed an automatic car is safer, with the driver having to do less, and therefore less going wrong. There is no need for the driver to remove a hand from the steering wheel to change gear, so therefore you would think there would be more control over the vehicle.

Studies that monitor a drivers stress when behind the wheel have found that people driving manual cars do experience slightly more stress when driving,

Manual lovers argue that with an automatic, there is less for the driver to do, and therefore their concentration wanes and they pay less attention to the road. This means that they will fail to see the early signs of an accident possibility, and do things that another driver may not do when operating a vehicle, for example be more likely to check a text message of fidget.

Driver inattention contributes for as much as a quarter or road accidents, but it's not completely clear as to what the type of car has to do with it.

Older drivers argue that the manual car is safer as you have more control, and that the automatic engine will never be able to replicate the intricacy of the human brain.

From a safety perspective, there seems to be no clear answer either way.
