Roche Harbor is on the northern end of Washington state's San Juan Island. The island, in Puget Sound, is about three hours from Seattle by car and car ferry. The ferry sails between Anacortes and San Juan Island's Friday Harbor. The resorts near Roche Harbor are about 30 minutes from Friday Harbor. Resort visitors have fishing and boating opportunities at Roche Harbor and Westcott Bay, which is five minutes from Roche Harbor. - The Roche Harbor Resort has a spa that offers massages and other body treatments, two restaurants and a marina that accommodates up to 377 boats. It also offers guided kayak trips. Each resort suite includes a complimentary bathrobe, king or queen bed, a flat screen television with DVD player, a gas fireplace and a mini-refrigerator. It is within five minutes of three lakes and less than 10 minutes from Rocky Bay, where killer whales, also called orcas, can be spotted.
