Natural Ingredients Create the Best Facial Cleanser Cream For Younger-Looking Skin

Frustrated because you spent a large amount of money on a facial cleanser cream that's proved to be utterly ineffective? You're not alone.

Products from the billion-dollar skincare industry frustrate many women, and some men besides. There are some good products available, but the best products avoid the worst additives used in many skin care products while including the very best ingredients to nourish, cleanse and protect skin.

First, the bad news. Some skin products can actually harm your skin over time, because they contain ingredients that damage the skin. After all, the skin is the body's largest organ, and many substances are easily absorbed through the pores. So watch out for these ingredients in a facial cleanser cream:

Mineral oil. This oil also is known as petrolatum, paraffin wax and liquid paraffin. It clogs the pores, causes acne flare-ups, dryness and premature aging.

Dioxane. This coconut derivative is made synthetically and often contains large amounts of a chemical, 1, 4-dioxane, which the State of California has found to cause cancer!

Fragrances. Like dioxane, fragrances often are produced with chemicals known to cause cancer or chemicals that are toxic to humans.

Parabens. These go by such names as methyl, propyl, butyl, and ethyl paraben. Used as a preservative, parabens have been found to cause rashes and other allergic reactions, to interfere with the endocrine system and may cause cancer.

Alcohols. You know the names from chemistry class: isopropyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, ethanol, benzyl alcohol, methanol. Every one of them strips the skin, causing dryness, irritation and removing natural protection from germs.

The good news is that there are three key ingredients to look for in a facial cleanser cream that will replenish the skin, making it smoother and younger-looking. These beneficial ingredients are:

Phytessence Wakame. This extract from Japanese sea kelp contains many of the essential B vitamins. It enhances the skin's elasticity.

Keratin. This protein stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to give skin its structure. Unfortunately, the keratin in many skincare products is made by a process called hydrolyzation that subjects animal by-products to high temperatures and acids. Thankfully Keratec, a company based in New Zealand, has developed a product called Cynergy TK, which converts natural keratin into a form that skin easily can use to renew itself.

CoenzymeQ10. This antioxidant repairs the damage caused to skin by sunlight's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, resulting in a dramatic reduction of wrinkles and lines. The best version of CoQ10 is called Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10, a "nano-emulsion" that combines CoQ10 with Vitamin E. Together these two antioxidants, in microscopic particles, penetrate seven layers into the skin.

The bottom line? Choose a facial cleanser cream that contains high concentrations of the key three ingredients for smooth, healthy, younger-looking skin.
