How to Clean Nicotine from Walls and Furniture

    Walls

    • 1). Select vinegar for upholstery or trisodium phosphate (TSP) for walls.

    • 2). Mix 1/4 cup TSP with 1 gallon water in a mixing bucket.

    • 3). Soak a sponge in the solution.

    • 4). Scrub the walls until the nicotine is removed.

    Furniture

    • 1). Mix 1 cup vinegar with 1 gallon water in a mixing bucket.

    • 2). Pour the vinegar and water mixture into the tank of an upholstery cleaner.

    • 3). Plug the cleaner into a power source. Attach the upholstery wand to the cleaner.

    • 4). Depress the trigger on the wand to release a stream of cleaning solution. The solution will loosen the nicotine. The wand will vacuum up the solution and nicotine.
