How to Draw a Bonsai Tree
- 1). Draw out the rough shape of the bonsai tree. There should be a square base with a rough, bending cylinder for the trunk and the branches. Use circles and ovals to represent the foliage on the tree.
- 2). Begin by filling in the details of the foliage spots. Each circle and oval should form its own small patch of leaves and branches. Start at the top of the bonsai and work your way down.
- 3). Add detail to the main trunk of the bonsai. Erase the circles and original shapes as need be. Continue to fill in the details until you have the full bonsai tree drawn.
