How to Clean Pam Aerosol Oil Stains From Granite
- 1). Make a poultice to remove the Pam aerosol oil spray stain from your granite by wicking the oil out of the granite surface. Start with three to four paper napkins, placed one on top of another. Wet the napkins with mineral spirits, then sprinkle a 1/2-inch-thick layer of talcum powder on the wet napkins.
- 2). Add more mineral spirits to the talcum powder so the powder is the consistency of a very thick peanut butter. Place the poultice, talcum powder side down, onto the site of the Pam aerosol oil-spray stain on your granite.

Cover the poultice with a piece of plastic wrap large enough to fit over the entire poultice. The plastic wrap will keep the poultice moist as it removes the oil stain. Let the poultice sit on your granite surface for as long as 48 hours. - 4). Pick up the corner of the poultice to check on the stain removal progress as soon as three hours after you put the poultice in place. Keep the poultice in place until the oil stain is fully removed and check progress every couple hours.
- 5). Scrape off the poultice using a rubber spatula so your granite surface isn't scratched. Discard the poultice materials. Dampen a clean sponge with white vinegar and wipe the granite surface to clean up any remaining poultice materials.
