Elmo Face Cake

• Create a cake for the baby shower that is shaped like Elmo's face. Elmo is one of the most popular and recognizable Sesame Street characters, so it is a perfect choice for the cake. Use a cake pan that is molded so that when you remove the cake you are left with a cake that looks like Elmo. Frost the cake using red, orange, white and black icing to make it resemble the character even more.
  
  

Simple Sesame Street Cake

• If you are not an experienced baker, create a sheet cake for the baby shower and decorate it to reflect the theme. Make a cake with one layer or two, depending on the number of people who are going to be at the shower. Frost the cake with one of the primary colors that are often present in Sesame Street products -- such as red, yellow or green. Place plastic Sesame Street figurines on top of the cake to continue the theme.

• Make centerpieces for the baby shower that will reflect the Sesame Street theme. For example, use Cookie Monster as the inspiration for the centerpieces. Make sugar cookies that are shaped like Cookie Monster and frost them blue. This is a particularly good idea if the expectant mother is having a boy.
