- Established in 1973, Qatar University is the leading institution of higher education in Qatar. Students can choose from seven colleges: education, arts and sciences, Sharia and Islamic studies, business and economics, engineering, law, and pharmacy. Join a student body of more than 30,000 academics taught by a faculty of almost 700 instructors. When enrolled at Qatar University, live on a campus that sits just 16 miles from the center of Doha and scenically overlooks the coast. This eight square kilometer campus provides space for men and women to study and excel in their fields of study separately.

Georgetown University has a School of Foreign Service including courses in Arabic languages and a model United Nations for undergraduate students in Doha. Open to students from Qatar and around the world, students who complete the program come away with a bachelor of science in foreign service. The faculty comes from Georgetown University's Main Campus and the majority of classes are taught in English.

This joint effort between the State of Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic in Canada was established in 2002. More than 400 faculty members teach more than 2,300 students in state of the art laboratories and classrooms in 20 buildings. Choose from four curriculums: health sciences, information technology, engineering technology and business studies. Additionally, the College of the North Atlantic offers a Security Academy and a Centre for Banking and Financial Studies. The campus is designed for ease of navigation for students and each building is linked to the others via courtyards and walkways. Learning facilities and campus cafes are co-educational but cafeterias, student lounges and swimming pools are separated by gender.
