- 1). Say "Thank you." Ask the employer what remuneration you will receive. Confirm that you are aware of the non-monetary benefits, such as health and dental coverage.
- 2). Tell your prospective employer you will discuss the offer with your family and respond by the next business day. Consider what the job offers, such as prospects for the future, living location and the remuneration.
- 3). Consider the commute from your home. You may think it isn't much of a hassle to commute to work over a distance, but after commuting for many days, you may be tired and annoyed at the long routine.
- 4). Ensure that you are aware of exactly what you will be doing at your new job. Consider any learning curve you might have to go through.
- 5). Call the employer and say you have considered the offer. Ask for any increases to the remuneration package that you might want to receive. Say, "Thank you for the offer. I look forward to working with you."
