Find Sex Offenders By State

• 1). Go to the FBI's National Sex Offender Website (see Resources). This site is a directory of state sex offender registries.
  
  
• 2). Click on the state you want to search for sexual offenders. You will be redirected to that particular state's sex offender registry website.
  
  
• 3). Enter the details required by the state's website. You may be required to enter a zip code and a listing of all registered sex offenders within so many miles of that zip code will be listed. Many states will also allow you to enter the name or alias of a sex offender and the registered address will be listed.
  
  

Department of Justice

• 1). Go to the Department of Justice's National Sex Offender Public Website (see Resources). This website lists all registered sex offenders all over the nation.
  
  
• 2). Accept the "Conditions of Use" by pressing the "I Agree" button.
  
  
• 3). Choose the state you are interested in searching for sexual offenders in the menu underneath "Search Options."
  
  
• 4). Enter the zip code for the area you are interested in searching for sexual offenders. All registered sexual offenders in that zip code will be listed in the results.
  
  
• 5). Click on the name of any offender to see a picture, physical description, the actual charge the offender was convicted of committing and the last known address.
