How to Create a Flexi Prim Tail
- 1). Open Second Life and click on the ground or another place where you can build something. Click on the "Build" button on the bottom of the screen and press, "create a new prim." Use the General Tab and give the prim a name, such as "flexi prim tail," and save.
- 2). Press the "More" icon to see more options for your flexi prim. Click on the "Features" tab and ensure that the box that says "Flexible Path" is ticked. In features, choose the prim type to be a cylinder.
- 3). Expand the cylinder into your desired tail shape. The longer the prim, the more it will flex. Short flexi prims often only appear to be wiggling, not waving.
- 4). Adjust the settings for the various combinations of softness, gravity, drag, wind and tension to give the flexi prim dimension and flexibility. Experiment to see how different properties with different values interact with the "anchor," which is the part of the prim that will be attached to the avatar.
- 5). Adjust the setting of "Z" in order to have the tail move in the direction you choose. Since flexi prims only flex in the Z-direction starting from the "anchor," use the rotate function to make the tail flex in a different direction.
- 6). Right-click on the flexi prim box and select "Edit" to add texture such as colors, textures or patterns.
- 7). Finalize the look and flow of your flexi skirt tail and press "Save."
- 8). Attach the flexi prim tail to your avatar by right-clicking and selecting "Attach to Lower Back."
