Elderberries are blue-black in color and grow in clusters much like grapes do. These fruits are used to make not only juice and jelly but wine as well. Elderberry wines are described as a hearty red wine bursting with aroma and flavor and some who have tasted it have referred to it as "instant port." You'll find kosher elderberry wine made by Manischewitz Winery, which as of 2010, the 750 ml bottle sells for $5.99. Wally's Wine & Spirits also has a gift registry and offers services such as event planning and wine cellar services. Wally's Wine & Spirits is open from Monday through Saturday.
- Honeyrun Elderberry Honey wine is sold by Skyview Wine and Spirits for $13.99. This kosher wine comes in a 750 ml bottle. Skyview, known for its charitable contributions by holding various wine-related fundraisers, boasts as having the largest selection of kosher wines in the United States. The kosher wine and scotch retailer's Leket Israel Wine Club has two different kinds of memberships you can choose from. Skyview Wine and Spirits is open daily.
- Kahn's Fine Wines & Spirits is an online store that sells Manischewitz Elderberry. The wine is sold by the bottle as of 2010 for $4.99 or by the case with 12 bottles for $56.89. Kahn's also sells Riedel stemware, beers, wine accessories and gift baskets. You can become a member of the Kahn's Kahnoisseur's Klub and you'll be able to receive discounts and invitations to wine country trips and to 12 or more wine tastings a year.
