How do I Enter Coordinates on an Oregon 400T?
- 1). Press the red power button to turn on your Garmin Oregon 400T. Make sure the green signal strength bars indicate a good signal or you may have problems navigating by GPS. If you have few or no bars, turn the device off by holding the power button and go outside. Turn the device on again in an open area and wait a few minutes until you see full green bars.
- 2). Press the "Where to?" button with your finger, and then press "Coordinates." Enter the coordinates and press "Go."
- 3). Go to the main menu. Alternately, you can press "Mark Waypoint" then "Save and Edit." From there, hit "Change Location" and enter your desired set of coordinates. Touch the green check symbol to save changes and return to the main menu.
- 1). Press "Waypoint Manager" from the main menu if you'd like to edit previously entered coordinates.The Oregon 400T has a limited memory capacity so editing and reusing old waypoints is a good way to conserve memory space.
- 2). Press the specific waypoint you'd like to edit. Press "Coordinates" to change the coordinates associated with this specific waypoint. When finished, hit the green check sign to go back to the waypoint options.
- 3). Consider changing the name of the waypoint to reflect the new coordinates. To do so, choose the appropriate option from the list, rename and hit the green check button.
- 4). Press "Waypoint Manager" from the main menu if you'd like to delete a waypoint. Choose the waypoint you'd like to remove and press "Delete."
