Headaches Everyday Can Ruin Your Day
If you are having headaches everyday then its obvious that you will not be going to work or school as the pain is just too much.
Some 25million days are lost from work or school each year because of Migraine related headaches and statistics show that women are more likely to suffer than men but I'm not too sure about that as many men get their ego in the way and say they are ok.
There are ways however to get rid of having headaches everyday and I have mentioned a few below.
Botox Boost: The anti-wrinkle jab was first used to treat those having headaches everyday last July as it was cleared by safety regulators.
It stops transmission of the pain sensation to the brain.
But the Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin found limited evidence for the benefits.
Botox is not for all migraine sufferers.
Its an option for some, with chronic migraine for instance.
If all else has failed then this should be considered.
Gene Therapy: A gene called Tresk which can cause having headaches everyday has been identified which is passed on from parents to their children.
For 80 per cent of people who suffer from migraines.
There however is a treatment that works well and allows sufferers to have a good quality of life.
But it is the other 20 per cent who will benefit most from this kind of research.
Aspirin Jab: Liquid aspirin injected straight into the bloodstream has been hailed as a potential new treatment for those having headaches everyday.
Doctors from the University of California mention that it is an inexpensive treatment that could end misery for millions of sufferers worldwide.
Aspirin is a good drug but is old-fashioned.
You should also consider the side effects that have been linked with it.
Relax And De-Stress: Having headaches everyday can also be linked to stress.
So try to find time to put your feet up and relax.
People who have battled with depression are also more likely to suffer attacks.
Lots of things can trigger a migraine, such as fizzy drinks, lack of sleep or even the weather to name a few.
But stress is definitely one of them.
Even packing to go away on holiday could be enough stress to trigger a migraine in some people.
Give Gadget A Go: For those having headaches everyday their is a device that is held to the back of the head and transmits magnetic pulses.
This has reduced sickness in many people it is claimed, as well as sensitivity to noise and light.
Two-thirds of sufferers who tried the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation gadget, holding it to their head for two hours reported afterwards that their pain had completely gone or had reduced to just mild discomfort.
Caution is advised.
Please remember to consult your Doctor before trying any of the above except for the relaxing of course.
