How to Install a Map Light in a P71
- 1). Open the hood of the P-71 and loosen the negative battery cable with the wrench. Pull the battery cable free from the battery post and move it aside so it does not make contact with the post.
- 2). Locate the retaining screw that holds the plastic map light frame in place. Remove it along with the clear plastic lens cover with a screwdriver.
- 3). Pull the map light bulb straight out by hand. Slip the P-71's replacement map light bulb into the empty socket.
- 4). Hold the lens cover and plastic frame back up to the roof. Insert the retaining screw and tighten it with the screwdriver.
- 5). Replace the P-71's negative battery cable with the wrench.
