- 1). Use appropriate lubricating oil to ensure the mechanisms of your Rainco Air Stapler are working smoothly. A couple of drops of pneumatic fastening tool oil should be placed through the airline fitting. Do not use too much, since it could attract dirt.
- 2). Ensure the tool is set to an appropriate air regulator speed. The air stapler should be set between 70 and 90 psi (4.8 to 6.2 bar). The tool should never be used over 100 psi (7 bar) to avoid malfunctions.
- 3). Be sure to constantly keep your air stapler clean and dry. You should also avoid dropping the tool, which is the primary reason for part replacements.
- 4). Check for structural damage if the tool leaks air through the nose when the trigger is depressed. It could indicate that the bumper is cracked, the piston of the cylinder is damaged or the piston o-ring is worn.
