How to Find the Lint Trap of a Whirlpool Duet Washer
- 1). Remove the screws on the left and right edges of the access panel on the front bottom of the Duet after the washer stops. Flex the panel outward on the left edge and pull, then remove the right edge to pop off the panel from the front of the washer.
- 2). Set the metal pan on the floor against the bottom edge of the duet. Keep the towel nearby.
- 3). Unscrew the white handle in the circular port at the bottom of the Duet. Pull the handle forward to remove the attached lint trap.
- 4). Wipe up any excess water with the towel. Most of the water will flow into the metal pan if it is positioned against the washer.
- 5). Rinse the lint trap under running water until clean. Slide the part into the port and twist the handle to the right.
- 6). Snap on the access plate to the bottom of the Duet cabinet and secure with screws
