How to Hook Up Speakers on a MIDI Keyboard

    • 1). Plug the quarter-inch end of the quarter-inch-stereo-to-RCA adapter into the quarter-inch "Line-Out" port on your MIDI keyboard. (The port is on the side or back, depending on the make and model of your device.)

    • 2). Insert the RCA audio cables into the RCA side of the adapter.

    • 3). Plug the opposite ends of the RCA cables into the "Audio-In" port on your speaker stereo system. You can also use a surround-sound receiver for this.

    • 4). Power on the MIDI keyboard and the stereo system. If using a stereo with a single audio-in connection press "AUX," and the stereo will begin to play the keyboard's sound. If using a surround-sound system press the input number your RCA cables are connected to (printed on the back of the receiver next to where your RCA cables are connected).
