Video Creation Tools: Screencast List

For today’s post, I will be listing some video creation tools that capture your screen, or what we call screencast. This means that when you use these tools, whatever you are doing on your computer screen is being recorded on video. These tools are better used for instructional or training videos. So, without further ado, here’s a another set of video creation tools for your video needs.

Cam Studio – This FREE, downloadable software can record all screen and audio activity on your computer and turn it into industry-standard AVI video files. It is built in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs).
Jing - There is Jing for Screenshots and Jing for Screencast. If you want to record videos of you demonstrating something on your computer, then choose the second one. There is FREE version of this tool available for download. The PAID version will cost you $14.95 a year.
Screenr – A great tool for Twitter addicts. Create screencasts that you can easily share to your Twitter network. There is nothing to download and it is completely FREE.
ShowMeWhatsWrong – Do you have clients who seem to need to computer help all the time? I do. But sometimes I am not available to help them. So I ask them to create an account here, record their screen as they demonstrate what they think is wrong (with audio of course!), and then email the screencast to me.
ScreenToaster - If you are not a fan of downloading anything, then you will like this online tool. You can record screencasts, tutorials, demos, training, and lectures from any computer since all you need to do is access your account online and click that record button. Videos can be emailed or embedded in blogs or web sites.
Apart from these, there are also more tools that allow you to take screen shots of your computer. You then combine them to make videos. I did not include them here as I think they are better suited for the Mash up List.
IDEAS FOR USING THESE TOOLS
As a video marketing VA, I highly recommend using these video creation tools for trainings and demos. Create a series of videos that you can email to your employees or embed on your web site for later access. By doing this, you eliminate the need for a face to face training session, which takes a lot of time and resources.
Should you need coaching on how to use these tools, or if you have other video needs, don’t hesitate to connect with me. I will be more than glad to show you can use videos in your business.
