How to Hook Up TV Digital Converter Box & DVD Player

Connecting with RF Modulator for Older TVs

    • 1). Connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to the digital converter box by turning the coupler on the end of the cable clockwise around the external jack labeled RF.

    • 2). Insert the white, yellow and red plugs on one end of the composite cable in the color-coded audio-video OUT jacks on the back of the converter box. Connect the plugs on the other end to one set of AV IN jacks on the RF modulator, again matching the colors on the plugs with the jacks.

    • 3). Plug the second composite cable into the three AV OUT jacks on the back of the DVD player, matching the colors on the plugs to the jacks.

    • 4). Connect the three plugs on the other end to the second set of AV IN jacks on the RF modulator.

    • 5). Connect a coaxial cable from the RF modulator OUT jack to the COAX IN jack on the back of the TV and tighten the couplers by hand.

    • 6). Turn on the converter box and press the "Auto-Tune" button on the box to program the available TV channels.
