How to Program a DSC Alarm
- 1). Disarm the systems by entering the "Master Code" default password using the numeric keys on the DSC Intrusion alarm systems' keypad; the default password is noted in the instruction manual that accompanies the systems. Do not press a key on the keypad until after you have heard an answering "beep." If the LCD panel on the keypad does not display "Ready to ARM," reenter the "Master Code" password again, starting at the beginning.
- 2). Check that all of the windows, doors and other entranceways that DSC alarm sensors are connected to are closed.
- 3). Return to the keypad. Press the "1" key, followed by the asterisk key to activate (or "Arm") the sensors that have been designated as belonging to "Zone A" in the house. Press the "2" key, followed by the asterisk key to activate the sensors that have been designated as belonging to "Zone B" in the house.
- 4). Enter the "Master Code" default password to "arm" the systems. Repeat this procedure if you do not see "ALL SYSTEMS ARMED" on the keypad's LCD screen.
