You probably have no idea what the relation between these two are; don't worry, I'll explain in a bit. First, let's cover Men In Black III :
Men In Black III is the third movie to the MIB saga - kind of like the Twilight saga .. but not that extreme. The movie will be shown in 3D (just like any other movie now a days) and will star Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Josh Brolin (playing a young Tommy Lee), and Jermaine Clement - but then again, what will the movie be like if it didn't have Jones and Smith? The movie is supposed to come out May 25, 2012 - this is ten years after the second movie came out. It will be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and Steven Spielberg will star as Executive Producer .. and the movies that he produces are always good.
There hasn't been a lot of details released about the main plot, but what we do know is that it's going to somehow revolve around time travel with Agent K and Agent J visiting a young Agent K. At the same time, the villain of the movie (Boris) goes back in time as well to kill the Young Agent K. This is will obviously change the future and set off a different chain of events that somehow leads to the end of the world.
The time travel is where we come in.
See, since they go back to the 1960's, they called Hubcaps.com to help them with their props. What's funny is that when I researched the Prius on the movie, that was the only part of the movie that they hadn't shot yet. Weird, right?
They ordered the Ford Galaxie Hubcaps - but they didn't just order a set, they ordered a whole bunch ! All of us here at Hubcaps.com want to say Thank You for doing so ! Now let's get more into the Ford Galaxie & the Ford Galaxie Hubcaps :
There were two versions of the Ford Galaxie. The first one was just your typical 60's family sedan that you can take anywhere and the other version was a high - performance, racing, muscle - car that was meant to be shown off whenever the driver had the chance to actually do so. The "regular" Galaxie 500 was continued below the LTD as Ford's midlevel full-size model from 1965 until its end; they stopped making the Galaxie and the Ford Galaxie Hubcaps after the 1974 model year.
I'm not sure if they're going to use the second generation car or if they're going to use the third, but I know the car will look good in the movie one way or the other. The second generation had a complete different style from the first one by having a pretty big and curving rear observation window on a pillarless hardtop bodyshell. If you were to buy that car, you'd notice that a simple 2 - door hardtop wasn't available then.
Now do you see how we can relate the Men In Black III movie with our Ford Galaxie Hubcaps ? Isn't it cool that we're - I mean, our hubcaps - are going to be in a movie?! Without our sales representative, George, none of this would have ever been possible.
So finally, we want to say Thank You to all of the people working on Men In Black III and George for selling those hubcaps.
