Trace a Mobile Phone Number - Find the Owner Name of a Mobile Phone Number

With the services and technology available today, you can quickly trace a mobile phone number and get the name and address information of the registered owner.  This is often necessary if you are receiving prank calls or see repeat calls from the same number show up on your cell phone bill.

While there are literally hundreds of sites on the internet claiming to offer a free trace on a mobile phone number, it is not possible.  Wireless numbers are not provided publicly in any directory.

Instead, companies have organized databases of information by collecting the records from wireless service providers and other organizations to build background information that can be accessed for a fee.

Understanding that many people want to use this information to prevent harassing phone calls or to reconnect with a friend with whom they have lost touch, these companies have made their reverse directories available to the general public.

A reverse directory company will often display for you the type of information they have available for any number you enter.  If you choose to obtain the report, you are provided the amount it will cost to receive the report.  Some companies charge per report, some charge an annual fee, and one service even offers a one time only fee that gives you on-going access to their records as long as you would need the service.  No recurring fees are charged after that one time fee.

You can also request that these directories remove your own information from their service.  If you are being harassed by someone and need to protect your personal cell phone information, make sure to get your information removed.

It takes a lot of computer space and regular updating to maintain an accurate database of information.  Some reverse directories update less often than others.  As the only way to obtain this information is going to cost you something, make sure you choose a reverse directory that updates frequently.  Having to pay is one thing, but paying for outdated information that cannot help you is another.

Trace a mobile phone number if you feel doing so will give you some peace of mind, stop prank calls, or will provide you with information that can reunite you with a lost friend or love.  Do not use the service to cause harm or suffering to others.
