How to Assemble a Daiwa 1300 Reel
- 1). Remove any plastic that is covering the reel and locate the handle as well as the spool for the reel.
- 2). Determine the side on which the handle should be positioned. Place the handle on the left side for a left-handed reeling return or on the right side for a right-handed reeling return.
- 3). Remove the threaded handle hole plug, if necessary, by turning it until it can be removed. Thread the plug into the handle hole on the opposite side of the reel body from where the handle will be installed.
- 4). Insert the handle into the hole in the SS1300 reel body and turn. Continue turning the handle to thread the handle into the reel body and secure it in place.
- 5). Hold the reel so that the front of the spinning reel is accessible. Place the spool onto the spindle extending from the front of the reel. Line up the slot in the center of the spool and slide the spool completely down onto the spindle.
- 6). Thread the drag adjustment knob onto the spindle of the Daiwa SS1300. Turn it to the right to tighten and secure the spool in place.
