How to Make a Fake Magazine Cover
- 1). Open the magazine creation software by clicking on the icon or by going through the Start button and selecting Programs.
- 2). Click the "File" tab and select "New." A new window will appear.
- 3). Select "Blank Page Sizes" from the options. Choose the "Letter (Portrait) 8.5 inches by 11 inches" option. Click the "Create" button. A new workspace will appear.
- 4). Change the size of the margins to eliminate the border. Click the "File" tab and select "Page Setup." Change all of the margin sizes to 0 (zero).
- 5). Add a background color if desired. Click on the "Format" tab and select "Background." Select the background color of choice. Click on the drop-down arrow next to the color and choose the "Apply to Page" option to color the page background.
- 6). Create a text box to type in the name of the magazine. Click the "Insert" tab and select "Text Box."
- 7). Draw the text box on the workspace using the mouse. Adjust the text box size using the mouse by dragging the guidelines larger or smaller.
- 8). Click the mouse inside the text box to choose the font and font size. Select the font color. Type the fake magazine name inside the text box. Create separate text boxes for each article title or advertisement that is to be put on the cover.
- 9). Import an image to add to the cover of the magazine. Click the "Insert" tab and select "Picture." Choose "From File" from the drop-down menu. A pop-up will appear. Select the image to be imported. Click "OK."

Move the image to suit the magazine around the workspace. Adjust the image size by clicking on the guidelines and dragging the mouse to make the image larger or smaller. Repeat the step to import multiple images. - 11
Save the image once it is finished. Click the "File" tab and select "Save As." A pop-up will appear. Type a file name. Save the file as a JPEG. Click the "Save" button. Saving the file as a JPEG will allow the file to be viewed on other software. - 12
Print the fake magazine cover on the brochure paper. Click the "File" tab and select "Print."
