- 1). Purchase an item at a "Tax Free for Tourist" store. Tell the store clerk that you are going to ask for your VAT back. They will give you receipts and forms for the taxes.
- 2). Leave for the flight early. Before you check in, visit the local customs office. The customs office is located at the airport.
- 3). Present the receipts and items that you purchased. The officer might need to examine the items. The customs agent will stamp the receipt.
- 4). Fill out tax forms after the security check. Provide your name, address and payment information, such as your credit card number, expiration date and your card type. The customs office may give you a refund right there or may just reimburse your credit card or send you a check.
