How to Use Parafin
- 1). Plug in the paraffin tub and put in one block of pre-sized wax. Melting times vary depending on the size of the tub, but it often takes only about 30 minutes for a moderate-size block. Do not leave the tub plugged in for too long after the paraffin melts to avoid getting scalded by the hot wax.
- 2). Apply thick hand cream to the hands and place palms down into the paraffin tub and lift up immediately. Wait about three seconds and dip the palms face down into the tub once again. Repeat this process three to four times until the wax creates a warm glove on the hand.
- 3). Wait until the wax cools, about 15 to 20 minutes. Peel the wax off; it should come off in large, easy pieces. The skin underneath will be soft, moisturized and smooth. Apply another layer of lotion and rub in completely to retain moisture.
These wax cooling and removing instructions apply to any area that is dipped in the paraffin. - 4). Rub a thick body cream into the elbows and dip elbows into the paraffin wax. Dip the elbow in the same process as the hands, about three to four times.
- 5). Pamper dry, cracked feet by applying a cream to heels and toes and dipping them in the paraffin bath. Dip them three to four times to create a thick sock around the foot cream.
