1. Winter: Disney on Ice-Treasure Trove

Hello, Mickey! Disney has arrived in Brooklyn.

One seasonal family friendly classic is the character-filled Treasure Trove Disney on Ice show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Typically this Disney show includes Peter Pan and an inflatable dragon that nibbles Captain Cook, a fantastic Lion King interpretation, a family of superheros, and enough princesses to make a three-year old's head spin including Tiana, Jasmine, Ariel, and of course, as Disney likes to say, "the one who started it all, Snow White."

Considerations:Some adults who have seen the show report that it is perhaps more geared toward girls than boys, and for younger children. On the other hand child(or adult!) who is fond of Disney films and characters will probably enjoy seeing it, at least once. Parents might wish to see reviews from patrons on Ticketmaster site.

Post Show Ice Skating?

And, because some children will be inspired to try skating after seeing the show, parents might need to know Where to go ice skating outdoors in Brooklyn and opportunities for indoor ice skating in Brooklyn.
