Spin Star - The UK TV Game Show
Bradley Walsh (ex Coronation St and comedian) is the host of ITV1's newest day time game show Spin Star.
Spin Star, brings the thrills, spills, sheer unpredictability and big money gamble of the casino into a game show studio.
Dominating the stage set is the Moneyspinner which is an gigantic Las Vegas type, five-reel slot machine The reels contain cash, questions and the five contestants names who will be answering those questions.
The twist is these contestants do not win the big cash prize.
Each time a contestant answers a question correctly he / she adds to their total although a wrong answer can sometime wipe out their complete balance.
The contestants will get their turn to pull the handle of the Moneyspinner on later shows so they always do there best to build their cash balance to as much as possible.
The contestants rotate during the week so they all have the chance to be the Spin Star.
UK based online bingo site William Hill Bingo is the sponsor of Spin Star after signing a sponsorship agreement with terrestrial broadcaster ITV last week.
The 6 week sponsorship will see William Hill Bingo feature in commercials at the beginning and end of the programme along with during advertisement breaks.
This seems to be the strategy of other UK bingo and gambling sites as UK daytime TV seems saturated by bingo advertising from the major brands.
In an interview Bradley Walsh has spoken about the new show "I am delighted to be presenting Spin Star.
It's such an incredibly entertaining show with lots of surprises in store for the contestants and viewers.
We really get to know the contestants and I am sure the viewers will feel their pain on losing and their joy on winning.
" Midway through its run it seems that Spin Star is a great success with greater than expected viewing figure who seem to enjoy the shifts in fortune, big gambles, against-the-odds victories and sudden and devastating losses - all within a few seconds of each other.
