Get Inspired - Big Break Movies

If you are slogging away at work in a job beneath your talents or have been laid off and are looking for a new gig, you can find inspiration from a number of feature films that focus on this problem.
While the characters' problems might be fictional, you can still see yourself in the actor's portrayal and gain the motivation you need to move up the corporate ladder in a big way.
Grab a soda and bucket of popcorn and kick back for a deserved break, here are some of our favorite inspirational "get a job" movies: 1) Working Girl - this 1988 movie stars Melanie Griffin as Tess, an overworked and smarter-than-average secretary whose boss steals her brilliant idea.
When the boss breaks her leg on a ski trip, Tess takes over her office and her identity in a stunt that takes her straight to the top of the corporate ladder.
Note for job seekers - take risks and think outside the box in the corporate environment.
2) Pursuit of Happyness - this 2006 movie stars Will Smith is a struggling salesman of a tough-sell medical product.
After actually living on the street with his young son, he fights for a prestigious internship and despite all odds lands it.
Succeeding, he lands a job as a broker at a big New York City financial company and lives happily ever after.
Note for job seekers - follow your dream, work hard, don't let anything stop you.
3) Almost Famous - a precocious 15-year old kid, played by Billy Crudup, talks his way into writing an article for "Rolling Stone Magazine" even though he's still in high school and has no real experience, resume or references to speak of.
Notes for job seekers - don't be intimidated, persistence and tenacity pay off, go for it!
