Fleetwood Bounder Specifications
- The Fleetwood Bounder RV, as of the 2011 model year, has been produced for more than 20 years. The vehicle provides travelers with many standard amenities that competing brands offer as add-on features. A no-nonsense vehicle, the Fleetwood Bounder has acquired the nickname "The Motor Home That Really Works." As of the 2011 model year, the Fleetwood Bounder offers several functional floor plans and has a base price of $125,000.
- The Fleetwood Bounder is powered by a 6.8 liter Ford Triton V10 engine. The engine produces 362 horsepower and 457 ft/lbs of torque. This powerful engine transfers power to the wheels through a heavy duty Ford transmission. The five-speed transmission is available only in automatic. The combination of the Ford Triton V10 engine and the Ford five-speed automatic transmission is powerful enough to transport vacationers through most traveling situations. The fuel tank holds 80 gallons.
- The 2011 Fleetwood Bounder is available in two distinct floor plans: the Bounder 33U and the Bounder 35H. The Bounder 33U is the shorter of the two models, measuring 34 feet, 3 inches long. The Bounder 33U features a long slide-out along the driver's side that houses the queen bed, micro kitchen and dinette. The Bounder 35H measures two feet longer than the 33U at 36 feet, 3 inches. The Bounder 35H features two smaller slide-outs -- one on each side -- that house the queen bed on the passenger side and the dinette and sofa sleeper on the driver's side. Each model has an interior height of 84 inches and an interior width of 96 inches.
- Water storage in a recreational vehicle is important. From drinking water to water for flushing a toilet, an RV must be able to hold an adequate amount of water. Both models of the 2011 Fleetwood Bounder have three storage tanks: a fresh water tank, a gray water tank and a black water tank. The fresh water tank is for drinking, cooking and other uses. The fresh water tank on board can hold 85 gallons. The gray water tank holds water that is dispelled from the RV from all areas except for the toilet. The gray water tank can hold up to 58 gallons. The black water tank is for water dispelled from the toilet. The black water tank can hold 42 gallons.
