Cades Cove is a valley in the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Visitors can drive, walk or bike in a loop around the valley, making stops at old homesteads and churches along the way. Many visitors choose to expand on the rustic experience by renting one of the many cabins in the community of Townsend, which sits at the entrance to the park. - These cabins are adjacent to the entrance of Cades Cove. There are seven cabins on 12 acres, where guests can enjoy a petting farm, pony rides, trails and the privacy of a remote location. Cabins include kitchens, rockers, porch swings, hot tubs, barbecues, fireplaces and picnic tables. Cabins come in different sizes to accommodate the needs of individuals and families and are available year-round. In 2010, prices started at $95. Discounts are available for longer stays.
