Simple Grout Cleaning Tips

Whether it is the tile floors in the kitchen or bathroom, the grout between tiles will tend to get pretty grimy over a period of time.
With the proper knowledge and the right cleaning solution, you will get the grout looking fresh for ever.
Powdered oxygen chlorine bleach provides an easy, non-toxic, and effective cleaning for the tile and grout.
The bleach releases oxygen ions, which breaks up the soil and also bleaches stains, making it easier for soil to be removed with minimal scrubbing.
Mix the bleach with some hot water, pour on the tile and leave for some time.
To get a more thorough clean just scrub lightly.
Rinse out with water, and you'll see the dirt washed away from it.
Oxygen bleach is also a powerful disinfectant.
So you can be certain that harmful micro organisms are destroyed during cleaning.
You can just mop a floor with warm water blended with powdered oxygen bleach, leave for thirty minutes or more and next rinse away.
Oxygen based bleaching agent is much better and safer option than the chlorinated selection.
Further, an oxygenated bleach solution works more effectively while handling tougher staining.
Its preparation is also very easy.
Commercial tile and grout cleaner can be obtained wherever home cleaning products can be bought.
Get a cleanser which is pH balanced so that chemicals won't erode the grout if used for a long time.
To get best results, spray the cleaner on and let it remain for some time before scrubbing.
If you own or gain access to a steam cleaner, try using it on the grout.
The pressure of the steam cleaner will remove the tougher dirt and stains.
If you still have black stains around the grout despite trying the above solutions, it might be due to mildew, which is a big problem in moist areas like tubs and also showers.
Alcohol is an inexpensive remedy for this problem.
Buy a jar of alcohol and transfer the contents in the spray bottle and spray the location affected with fungus.
Always dry the shower and bathing location after each use and spray alcohol there after.
Once you have completely scrubbed the grout clear, get a moist sponge or soft cloth to get rid of the excess dirt and grime.
Wash out virtually any residues of chemicals the cleaning agent may have left behind.
Mop the floor thoroughly soon after cleaning the grout.
If the tile and grout are already neglected for long periods of time, and these have become very dirty, it will be good to get a professional cleaner to perform the job for you.
