I Got One!

Parakeet Point is an 800 square foot enclosure overlooking the Mississippi River. It provides a natural habitat for the birds, with trees and bushes from which the birds can survey the area and swoop down into the frey of families with feeding sticks to munch on some bird seed. There are also specially designed perches at the edge of the habitat where the human visitors can entice the friendly parakeets to come near.

Because there are hundreds of birds and they are very tame, it doesn't take long to make a parakeet friend. Still, it's a great thrill when that happens.
