- 1). Apply the polishing pads to a machine polisher, if they are not already attached. The application process will vary by machine, but usually they just slip on.
- 2). Apply the 3M polish directly to the polishing pad. You will need to reapply more 3M polish as you work.
- 3). Turn on the polisher and set it onto the item (usually a car) you are going to polish. Swirl your hands (while still holding onto the polisher) in a circular motion while using a medium pressure. Allow the polish to dry. Once it dries, it will look hazy.
- 4). Remove the soiled polishing pad and put on a clean one.
- 5). Place the polisher on the item you just polished and turn it on. Once again, move the polisher in a circular motion using medium pressure. Continue until the polish has been buffed off.
