How to Use a Leather Snap Tool

- 1). Determine the width of the hole for the snap and select the appropriate size shaft on the leather snap tool.
- 2). Adjust the spindle to set the proper size shaft into position facing down above the bottom section of the punch.
- 3). Measure the leather with the ruler to determine the exact placement of the snap. Make a mark with the felt tip marker.
- 4). Position the punch pliers over the section of leather where the snap is to be located, aligning them with the mark on the leather.
- 5). Push the handles together by squeezing them with your hand. This will force the shaft down and into the leather, puncturing it to create a hole.
- 6). Repeat this process to create additional holes in the leather.
