How to Fix Focus Problems During Post-Processing of Digital Photos

    • 1). Apply an unsharp mask to your photo, which sharpens the edges in your photo. Although it seems like this effect would further blur a photo, it is named "unsharp" because of the technique that was previously used in darkrooms. Adjust attributes like amount, radius and threshold to vary the sharpening.

    • 2). Apply a regular sharpening effect to your photo. This will increase the contrast of those area, resulting in a greater distinction between pixels.

    • 3). Apply a sharpening effect to only a local region. This can reduce the obviousness of the post-processing.

    • 4). Crop out the blurry region of the photo, if possible.

    • 5). Alter the color scheme of the image, if possible. For example, some slightly out-of-focus regions in a color photo may become acceptable in black and white.
