Standard Sky TV Remote Control

• 1). Unclasp the battery cover from the rear of the remote control casing.
  
  
• 2). Remove all batteries from the battery compartment.
  
  
• 3). Look for a tiny screw at the bottom of the battery compartment and remove it with a jeweler's screwdriver.
  
  
• 4). Identify the small, rectangular opening toward the top of the remote control, above the battery compartment.
  
  
• 5). Push a blunt object, such as a paperclip, through this opening and onto the circuit board until the remote control unit separates.
  
  

Sky Plus Remote Control

• 1). Uncouple the battery cover from the rear of the remote control casing.
  
  
• 2). Remove all batteries from the battery compartment.
  
  
• 3). Look for two tiny screws and unscrew them with a jeweler's screwdriver.
  
  
• 4). Slide off the opaque, infrared unit cover at the front of the remote control unit. Remove the small screw underneath this cover.
  
  
• 5). Prise open the unit gently.
