The Quickest Way to Fix Blurry Pictures

    • 1). Run your preferred image editing software and open the blurred image. Most software, including the programs bundled with your operating system, offer a sharpening or blur reduction tool.

    • 2). Locate and click the "Filter" tab on the software's top toolbar. Depending on which software you're using, the location of the "Filter" menu may vary.

    • 3). Highlight the "Sharpen" option in the drop-down window that appears. A second window will appear, listing several different blur reduction filters.

    • 4). Apply the filter that best suits the type of blurring in your image. For example, if your image contains soft edges as a result of focusing error, select "Sharpen Edges".

    • 5). View the results once the filter has been applied. To further reduce blur, select "Sharpen More" from the filter menu.

    • 6). Save the image once you achieve the desired effect. To preserve the original photo, use a different name for the corrected image.
