The Scandic hotel chain offers quality accommodation and its hotels have a good reputation in the Scandinavian countries. The Scandic chain offers two rates, EARLY (discount for early bookings) and FLEX (travelers requiring flexible dates).
Their rooms offer the basics of a value price hotel: comfortable beds, desk, TV, shower, and minibar. Scandic hotels are decorated in simple Scandinavian design, with pretty wooden flooring. Scandic also claims to be a pioneer in having an eco-friendly room - most the room's contents can be recycled. Depending on the hotel you are staying at, Internet access is available in your room or in the lobby. Not every room may have a safe.
If the hotel itself does not have a gym, many Scandic hotels offer free guest passes to a gym nearby.
Location is everything here - generally the hotels are very close to train stations, taxi stands and have several restaurants in the vicinity. You can find Scandic hotels in all Scandinavian capitals, of course.
