Side Effects

• Though rare, possible side effects of miconazole are blistering, burning and skin redness. The drug also interacts with food in some patients, particularly those that use tobacco or frequently drink alcohol.
  
  

Warning

• Patients using miconazole should notify their doctors if the rash or condition being treated becomes worse or does not improve within 4 weeks.
