Getting more blog traffic is the number one thing on the minds of most bloggers today. Without traffic, it is impossible for any site to survive. With the increasing number of sites popping up on a daily basis and the changes to the search engine algorithms, getting more traffic has become an even greater challenge. The good news is that there are things you can do to put the odds back in your favor.

Keyword research should be your number one priority. You have to locate the right keywords for your blog, if you ever expect to have any kind of success. There are several keyword tools on the market to help you with this research. Some of them are absolutely free. Just type 'keyword research tool' into a Google search and do your homework. Placement of your keywords is also going to be extremely important. Your keywords or phrase should appear at least once in the title and description of all posts and pages. You should place your primary and secondary keywords within the first 25 words and spread evenly throughout your entire page or post.
Once you have completed your keyword research, you need to use your new keywords to create or recreate your blog site with all of your valuable content, products and services. Keep the design simple so visitors can easily navigate and find what they need. You also need to keep in mind the placement of keywords mentioned in the previous paragraph.
