Only God Forgives is a beautifully directed movie based upon pure human emotions.There is no good and bad characters in the film all of the characters showcase primal instincts.This movie is an innovation in the world of movie making.it quenches the thirst of its viewers by giving them cocktail of human emotions.The violence in the movie is gripping and petrifying.The story of Only God Forgives is twisted and lovable in its own way.The fight scene between Ryan and Vithaya is full of agony and pain.The way Vithaya Pansringram handle his sword is an act of perfection in itself.Ryan Gosling and Kristen Scott Thomas twisted relationship is perfectly directed even with less dialogues.
The story set into motion when Billy (Tom Burke) rape and murder a 14 year old girl.After which Chang(Vithaya Pansringram) enters the scene and allows the father of the murdered gigl to have his revenge.The man kills Billy and Chang cut the hand of the girl's father so that he can never forget what wrong he had done with her daughter by letting her to enter into prostitution.Then Crystal(Kristen Scott Thomas) comes to Bangkok to collect her first born Billy's body.She asks of Julian to kill the man who has murdered his elder brother , but Julian refuses.Julian wants his mother to meet Mai(Yayaying) who works as an entertainer Crystal insults Mai an call names to Julian as he refuses to kill his brother's killer.Then Crystal hiers a killer and some how assassinate her son's murderer.Hearing about this episode Chang comes and visit Julian for questioning Julian refuses of having any kind of envolvement and Chang believes him.
Crystal on the other hand plans to assassinate Chang but on the contrary he kill two of the assassasins and involvement of crystal comes under his attention.This time again he goes back to Julian.Julian asks him wheather he wants to fight Chang excepts his challenge and beats Julian to the ground.Crystal goes back to Julian and asks of him to kill Chang only this time Julian accepts it.Along with a companion Julian enters Chang's house.The other man tells Julian that Crystal has told him to kill Chang along with his family.then the man shot Chang's wife in a cold blood as he turns to kill Chang's daughter Julian kills him.
Chang along with his policeman come down to Crystal's hotel room where he kill her by cutting her throat.Afterwards Julian enters the room and cut open hir mother's belly with Chang's sword and place his hand inside of her belly.In the end Chang cuts Julian's hands.Then in a vast room Chang stand on a stage and sing a song ,all of the other policemen watch him with great honour and respect
Only God Forgives gives chilling sensations to its viewers.The use of dark colours in the movie completely describes the soul of the feature film."Action speaks louder than words" and Only God Forgives completely justifies the statement.This movie will give action movie lovers ultimate satisfaction.It also portrait the crime world and law n enforcement of Bangkok as never seen before in cinemas.After Drive (2011) Refn and Gosling together have created a cinema of love,lust,pride,passion,hate,fear and vengence (the purest form of human emotion).Its a must watch one among ten movies to see before you die.
