How to Bleach Ethnic Skin

    • 1). Purchase a kojic acid bar of soap. This soap can be found at specialty skin care stores and over the Internet at numerous Websites (such as "funkymommy.net" and "auctiva.com"). Make sure to buy the bar of soap and not the small ointment bottles. These bottles are used for bleaching specific areas of the skin, and not the entire body. The ointment bottles have a higher concentration of kojic acid in them. The bottles are also smaller, so you would use an entire bottle in only a few applications. The bars of soap will provide a gradual lightening of the skin, rather than the faster acting bottles (due to the higher kojic concentration)

    • 2). Bathe every day with the kojic acid bar of soap. You will eventually begin to see your skin tone begin to lighten. The product is not actually bleach, so it will not burn while using, although it is a good idea to avoid contact with your eyes. If the soap is in constant contact with your mouth, it will bleach your lips as well.

    • 3). Towel dry with the same towel. The soap may bleach out the towel as well so this will keep all of your towels from lightening.

    • 4). Continue to use the kojic acid bar of soap until you no longer want to have bleached pigmented skin. Once you stop your skin will begin to turn back to its original color with proper exfoliation. This is because your skin regenerates itself and eventually all the bleached pigment will revert back to its normal color.
