How to Test an Internet Connection Speed With Qwest
- 1). Open your Internet browser and go to the Qwest Broadband Speed Test site using the link in References.
- 2). Close all other applications running on the computer except your Internet browser and anti-virus software to ensure the most accurate results. To close applications, go to the right-hand side of the taskbar. Right-click and select "Exit" from the menu.
- 3). Click the "Begin test" button on the Qwest Web page. The test starts with the download speed and then the upload speed of your computer. The test should only take one to two minutes depending on your Internet speed.
- 4). Use the information to search the Internet for higher connection speeds. Click "Check availability" on the top right-hand side of the Qwest speed test page to search Qwest for better connection speeds.
