John Travolta stars in this high-octane action comedy. James Reese (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is an aide to the American ambassador to France, and he has a sexy girlfriend (Kasia Smutniak). Then loose-cannon CIA agent Charlie Wax (Travolta) shows up in Paris to bring down some drug dealers, and he is paired with Reese. Soon Wax and Reese are in a buddy movie, noisily ripping around Paris, going after terrorists. Shootouts, high-speed chases and explosions abound as the body count escalates. Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti star in this drama about a magician in Vienna circa 1900. Eisenheim (Norton) puts on astounding magic shows, and Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell) and his fiancée Sophie (Jessica Biel) attend a performance. It turns out Eisenheim and Sophie were childhood sweethearts, and they become lovers, but try to keep it hidden from Leopold. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince assigns Chief Inspector Uhl (Giamatti) to uncover Eisenheim's secrets and expose him as a fraud.More »
Martin Scorsese directed this psychological thriller that stars Leonardo DiCaprio. The film was adapted from a novel by Dennis Lehane. Shutter Island, off the coast of Massachusetts, is the site of a maximum-security facility for the criminally insane. In 1954 federal marshals Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) go there to investigate the disappearance of a killer. But it may be that Cold War medical research is being conducted, a hurricane complicates the investigation, and Daniels has inner demons of own. The cast includes Ben Kingsley and Max von Sydow.More »
