Sony Bravia KDL-32M3000 Instructions

    Basic Operations

    • 1). All of Sony's KDL-32M3000 TVs can be controlled by the remote control. Two AA batteries are required to operate the remote and should come with the package brand new. Located at the very top of the remote control is the POWER button, which turns on the television. The TV/VIDEO button, also located at the top of the remote, will toggle between inputs when pressed. The SLEEP button, located top and center, will show intervals in minutes when pressed (15 min, 30 min, 60 min, etc). Choosing one of the intervals will activate a count-down for that amount of time before the TV automatically shuts off. Below the SLEEP button is the PICTURE button, which provides options for different picture modes: vivid, standard or cinema.

    • 2). The GUIDE button, located on the left side of the remote control, will display a programming guide, if you receive digital channels. The guide allows a viewer to scan the schedules of several channels at once, and then click on a desired channel to select it. The RETURN button (below the GUIDE button) takes you back to the previous screen when viewing menu items. The MUTING button is situated on the bottom left of the remote and turns the sound on and off.

    • 3). The WIDE button is located on the upper, right side of the remote and offers a selection of wide-mode options: wide zoom, normal, full and zoom. Directly below the WIDE button is the DISPLAY button, which reveals the channel, program name and time remaining when pressed. After a few seconds, the display turns off by itself. Below DISPLAY is the TOOLS button which is only available if a PC is attached. Under TOOLS is the JUMP button, which allows the viewer to toggle between the current channel and last channel when pressed.

    • 4). The top center of the television monitor features a MENU button, which allows the viewer to adjust certain TV functions and settings. The next button over is the INPUT button, which activates extra inputs, such as a sound system, a video game console or a DVD player. The VOLUME and CHANNEL buttons are between the INPUT and POWER buttons.

    • 5). The bottom right of the television houses a small display, which indicates the TIMER LED, POWER LED and IR. The TIMER LED flashes amber when the timer is activated. It stays illuminated even after the television turns off. If this light blinks repeatedly in red, it may be an indication that the television needs to be serviced. The POWER LED illuminates in green when the television is powered on. The IR (Infrared Receivers) receives commands coming from the remote control. The LIGHT SENSORS are also located here and control the screen brightness automatically with changing light conditions.
